giSTT Allows Hearing-Impaired to Read Voicemail
August 4, 2010
Mutare Software's giSTT Speech to Text service transcribes enterprise voicemail messages and deposits the messages in the user's email inbox, allowing employees to read their voice messages in email. "While this application was originally targeted to BlackBerry email junkies, more and more businesses are implementing giSTT to meet ADA requirements for the hearing impaired," said Ben Crown, President of Mutare Software.
One such customer is the State Compensation Insurance Fund (SCIF), the largest provider of workers' compensation insurance in the state of California and a vital asset to the state's businesses. Established in 1914 by the state legislature, SCIF employs more than 7,500 workers. They deployed giSTT, in part, to provide all employees equal access to voicemail. "As the first company to offer enterprise speech to text, we take great pride assisting our customers in meeting ADA requirements," said Scott Brown, Director of Sales at Mutare Software.
Mutare expanded its giSTT portfolio in May of this year, providing three different service levels and new financial options including month-to-month billing. giSTT is available for order through Mutare's worldwide network of business partners.
