Notable Updates
Personal User Blocklist
The Mutare Voice Spam Filter now provides assigned users with an individualized web portal that they can use to create their own personal list of phone numbers that the system will block from calling through to their enterprise phone(s). New users can receive a “Welcome” email containing an overview and a link to their personal portal. The main components for the portal include:
- Configuration Settings – From the Configurations section on their portal page, users can
- Select whether they wish to receive daily email summaries of spam filter activity associated with their filtered number(s)
- Assign their preferred email address and time for summary email delivery.
- Blocked Caller Number Assignments – Users can easily manage assigned numbers and see statistics on spam calling.
- Call History Page – Users who have been enabled to create personal blocklists will also see a Call History tab on their spam filter portal page that displays a chronological listing of all calls coming to their blocklist-enabled numbers that have been filtered through their organization’s Mutare Voice Spam Filter, as well as those assigned for blocking by the user. Users can block/unblock callers quickly and easily.

Personal Blocklist Admin Settings
A Personal Blocklist Numbers tab has been added to the Spam Filter Admin settings menu. This tab opens a page where admins can manage users’ assigned Personal Blocklist Numbers. Admins can also:
- Import a list of enabled numbers with associated users as a CSV fileImport a list of enabled numbers with associated users as a CSV file
- Send/resend a “Welcome” email with link to a personal portal to individual users

STIR/SHAKEN Integration
The Mutare Voice Spam Filter spam detection algorithm now includes integration and analysis of additional data provided by STIR/SHAKEN caller attestation protocols. Through Control Panel settings, Admins can select call handling actions based on the telephone number verification provided via the “verstat” URI parameter in the SIP headers.

Rules Manager Updates
The Admin Rules Manager page now displays an icon with ID hover text next to rules that are “owned” (i.e. added to a personal blocklist) by a specific User.

Other Updates
Addition of Email Field for New Users
- When adding a new user to the Mutare Voice system, required fields now include that user’s email address.
Admin Dashboard Update
- Spam Filter admin dashboard now includes a count of unwanted calls based on STIR/SHAKEN analysis.
New Control Panel Setting
- Allows admins to choose whether or not new users should receive a “Welcome” email with link to their user portal.
User Dashboard
- Users who have been enabled to create personal blocklists will see a Dashboard tab that opens a page indicating whether spam blocking is currently being applied and to which numbers.
