Eliminate Unwanted Voice Traffic
Legal
This is a real-life Use Case of a Mutare Customer and provides a high-level summary of the scenario and business problems resolved with the Mutare Voice Traffic Filter solution.
The Client
A U.S. law firm and lobby group ranked among the top 100 largest firms in the nation with more than 900 attorneys, 30 offices nationwide, and gross revenues topping $577 million.
Problem Definition
Complaints from attorneys over increasing numbers of unwanted nuisance calls were on the rise. The annoyance and disruption caused by spam and robocalls was diverting attention from legitimate clients and affecting billable hours. As with most firms, attorney phone numbers are easily accessed on the web and, as such, are more vulnerable to targeting by unwanted callers.

The Story
As a customer of the Mutare Voice solution for voicemail retrieval, transcription and notification, this firm turned to Mutare again to see what the company could do about their growing problem with spam calls. Mutare enabled a Proof of Concept trial of its Voice Traffic Filter. In just 7 days, the filter had already identified 28% of the firm’s incoming calls as spam or robocalls and blocked them from ringing through and disrupting attorney workflow. Applying assumed average cost per minute of billable professional time against an annualized projection of time lost to 250,000 unwanted calls calculates to approximately $1,25,000 in billable time that could be recovered through the spam-blocking capabilities of the Mutare Voice Traffic Filter. Satisfied with the validated effectiveness of the application and Mutare’s data security processes, the firm moved forward with full implementation.
