Disruptive robocalls, spoofed calls and scam calls were ringing into employee lines, undermining service delivery for legitimate clients and exposing employees to potential threats.
The Story
This customer was experiencing a large number of spam, scam and robocalls ringing into their phone system. As an accounting services firm, these calls were impacting both productivity as well as security for employees and the accounts they oversee. Their only defense was manually blocking unwanted numbers which took attention away from high-value service delivery and proved ineffective as spoofed numbers continuously change. As a Cisco phone system user, this customer learned that Mutare had a Cisco-certified application, Voice Traffic Filter, that could detect and deflect unwanted calls coming into their voice network before those calls had a chance to reach and disrupt their intended recipients. Mutare conducted a Voice Traffic Analysis of their incoming calls that revealed nearly 10% were unwanted, including a significant portion deemed nefarious.
